Cultural Extremist Influences: Finding balance isn’t an easy thing to do especially when we have one or two dominating influences in our culture, in the west it seems to be consumerist materialism but this is spreading throughout eastern countries as well & in the east it’s either warring or religion. It would seem that we need at least one dominant influence over all other influences but do we?
Firstly we must understand the reason we have dominant influences by one group or another either it be fundamentalist religious radicals, multinationals or whatever forcing their ideologies & concepts onto the populous of a said culture in one way or another thus taking complete control for various reasons over the populous. We are controlled by one or another extremist ideology or even various extremist ideologies, they are not just extreme because of their ideology/concept but in the way they are implemented to dominate over other ideologies & concepts of living. This is saying anything that is dominant over other ideologies & concepts is extremist & gives us little balance in our lives so no wonder so many people are confused & disorientated in which direction to take but whatever direction we take we mustn’t be suckered into another extremist ideology or concept as this just leads us nowhere & certainly not to balance.
Let’s have a look at one of the most spiritualistic centres on this planet India, what dominant influence do they have over all other influences? They do have consumerist materialism but this is also balanced out by spiritualism/mysticism & another influence is just existing/surviving to breathe for another day but one or another influence hasn’t become dominant over the other to any extreme. If we take a look at a western country like Australia what is it mainly influenced by? Consumerist materialism like so many other developed countries not necessarily western so what balances out this ideology/concept of consumerist ideology? Very little thus we have extremism so no wonder spiritually aware people in the west in particular are confused & disorientated & look for more extremist ideologies to counteract an extreme & what do extremes denote? Conflict!!
New age Extremism: One of the biggest mistakes we are making in the west is we take on an ideology & take it to the extreme as with consumerist materialism which is destroying our environment that we rely on for our survival to the extreme, we tend to have the mentality that anything that is good for us can surly be taken to the extreme to make it serve us better, I’m not sure where this mentality came from may be from world dominance!! To take anything to any extreme that dominates all other influences in our lives has to be bad for us because we lose balance within everyday life & most importantly in ourselves.
This comes down to the main point of this post to make other spiritually aware people aware of this unbalanced dominant extremism through other extremist ideologies & concepts taken on to defuse but yet another extremism like warring & consumerist materialism. Spiritually aware people get to a certain state of consciousness that we can experience things like unconditional love so we run with this so called new found reality & yes to the extreme expecting that everything & everybody should be just of unconditional love because unconditional love is everything which isn’t right because consciousness is everything which isn’t just of unconditional love but everything.
Finding Balance: It is so easy to be fooled that unconditional love or whatever is the be & end all as all this give us is more unbalance. Let’s say that unconditional love dominated all of us, you would go to sleep feeling just unconditional love you would dream of just unconditional love you would wake up feeling unconditional love & go right through the day feeling unconditional love & then the same exact cycle starts up all over again day in day out. This reminds me of the movie Ground Hogs Day it was fun at first but after a while it became monotonous & tedious until he found psychological & moral balance. To be dominated by one or even two emotional feelings right through life would take the thrill not just out of life but out of feeling wondrous about unconditional love in other words you would lose the wondrous feeling it has without balance. If you are a person who believes unconditional love is everything spiritual in a mystical sense then you would believe you wouldn’t feel the loss of the wondrous feeling of unconditional love as that would only relate to something of the mind not the spirit. The big question here is if we were supposed to be or have a wanting/desire for unconditional love why did we come here to live when we could have stayed in an unconditional loving reality in the first place?
Like I have said before in previous posts we just haven’t taken this spiritual awareness far enough, we’ve stopped at feeling this unconditional love because of our influential extremes in life but this is only to the point of partial awareness there is so much more after just feeling unconditional love in certain conscious awareness states. We can’t be sucked in to replacing one extreme ideology with another we need balance & for that balance to take place we need to incorporate these new age ideologies into the existing system which aren’t new because the east have been following these some ideologies for centuries but without taking them to the extreme like so many spiritually aware people in the west are doing. Balance is the real key here not more extremism!!
